GEMS (Girls EXCELing in Math and Science) aims to increase student success in the first two years of the student’s college career in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline. EXCEL first year females are paired with a female upper-division mentor from the same or similar discipline.
Math Boot Camp is for EXCEL students who placed into College Algebra (MAC 1105), Pre-Calc Algebra, Trigonometry or Math for Calculus (MAC 1140, 1114 or 2147) and are interested in possibly improving their math placement for Fall semester.
WISE connects seasoned industry leaders with female upper-division students from the GEMS program.
Undergraduate Research Experience
Students see and experience research first-hand by working with a faculty mentor in his/her lab.
