Once admitted to the EXCEL program, we offer the following benefits to participants:
- The feeling of a smaller college experience while pursuing a STEM degree in a large university,
- An undergraduate research experience (for eligible students) in the spring semester of the second year supervised by EXCEL faculty,
- An EXCEL block in on-campus housing,
- Priority scheduling for the common EXCEL/COMPASS courses,
- The creation of a learning community consisting of the EXCEL participants, at least 20 dedicated faculties in a variety of STEM disciplines, and UCF staff affiliated with a number of UCF support resources currently present at UCF,
- An EXCEL Center, dedicated to the needs of the participants where free math and science tutoring is provided,
- An EXCEL Academic Advisor to assist in the planning of an academic schedule,
