I am a third year student double majoring in biology and chemistry. I graduated from University High School in Orlando, FL. My favorite class at UCF has been Field Methods in Marine Biology because it provided me the opportunity to conduct biological research in Belize. My favorite teacher has been Dr. Elsheimer for organic chemistry because he is very enthusiastic about the material and offers many resources to help students. I decided to become part of the GEMS program to help freshmen girls form a support system with other people in EXCEL. I hope my mentees will become more familiar with resources and opportunities UCF has to offer for STEM majors through the GEMS program. During my free time, I love swimming and spending time outdoors.
