My name is Sara and I am a biomedical science major. This is my second year at UCF. I graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. My favorite subject in science and so far my favorite subject has been chemistry two, because it is so challenging and really pushed me. My favorite teacher has been Christa Diercksen because she is really willing to help her students. I got involved in the GEMS program because I thought it was a lot of help my freshman year and I hope I can help my mentees the same. It was nice to have someone who already went through everything to help me out. I hope to become friends with my mentees and help them through their first year and anything after that. On my free time I like to go to the gym to relive some stress or drive to the beach, which is my favorite place.
