Profile

My name is Natalia Vighetto and I am in my second year here at University of Central Florida. I am majoring in Molecular Biology and Microbiology while minoring in Spanish language. I joined the UCF community in the summer of 2009 after I graduated from Palm Beach Central High School. The professor that has made the biggest impact in my college career thus far would have to be Dr. Young, my pre‐calculus teacher. Having Dr. Young during my second semester here at UCF was the best thing for me because not only was she the best math teacher that I have ever had, but she taught me so many other skills like being respectful of my professors and of their time, which has helped me with other professors. I enjoy volunteering, running, going to spin class and reading when I am not studying or working at the Recreation and Wellness Center. The GEMS Program has not only allowed me to meet some incredible women, but has given me a chance to take on a lot more responsibility. Being able to help other girls in a related major as myself is the most rewarding aspect of GEMS for me!
