Hello! My name is Meredith Schooley, and I am a sophomore majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I am from Orlando and graduated from Freedom High School class of 2019. Being in EXCEL my freshman year has led me to a lot of scholarly opportunities, friendships, and other STEM organizations. My GEMS mentor gave me a lot of insightful advice on my future classes, professors, and activities to do around UCF. There are so many clubs and organizations to get involved in and I can’t wait to meet you all and share my experiences with you! Along with being an active member of EXCEL, I lived in the EXCEL LLC located in the Nike annex which is where I met so many amazing people also in STEM. These friendships led to study groups where we would get together before a quiz or test and review all the material we learned. Even though most of us had different majors in STEM, we all had pretty much the same classes in our first year. I am so excited to meet you all soon!
