My name is Maggie LaFratta and I'm a biomedical sciences and clinical psychology major. I am currently a fourth year student at UCF, and I graduated from Niceville High School. I really wanted to get involved with the GEMS program because I benefited a lot from having a mentor over my first year of college, and I'm hopeful that I'll be able to make the transition for my mentees as smooth as possible. Some of my favorite classes at UCF were General Chemistry I and Pre‐Calculus. I had Professor Pedro Patino for both semesters of Chemistry I, and he was extremely helpful and willing to help me with any confusion I was having from lecture. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar, hiking, and spending time on the beach!
