My major is Computer Science and I am currently in my sophomore year of college. I finished South Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, Fl and joined UCF in 2009. My favorite professor this semester is Professor Ho Yiuyu from Computer Science. He makes class fun and interesting and yet has a great way of explaining object oriented programming. He is very friendly and is always willing to help a student understand a particular concept. I enjoy reading, hanging out with my friends, and watching movies. What I love most about the GEMS program is that it allows freshman female students to form an immediate bond with an upper‐class female who already knows what being a freshman feels like and understands the challenges that women face in STEM disciplines. Together we can overcome these obstacles as we pursue our dreams and goals in our STEM majors.
