My name is Katie Trombetti and I am a junior with a Biology major on the Pre-Health track. I graduated from Coral Glades High School in 2019. One of my favorite classes so far has been Biology 1. This class really showed me that I had a real interest in the genetics side of biology. I was involved in GEMS as a mentee in Fall 2019 which helped me decide to become a mentor since my mentor guided me so well through my first year of college. She was always truthful about situations and believed in me no matter how unsure of myself I was. This will be my second year as a mentor, and I am so excited to share all the things I learned through my time at UCF with others. As a mentor, I want to always be myself and show my mentee how fun being at UCF can be and all the hard work that being a woman in STEM can be. When I am not doing schoolwork, you can find me in apartment cooking with my roommate or making TikToks.
