Profile

My name is Emily Lyn and I am a Mechanical Engineering major. I am in my sophomore year here at UCF. I graduated in 2015 from Olympic Heights Community High School located in Boca Raton, Florida. My favorite class that I have taken so far here at UCF is Introduction to Engineering. The class is taught by Dr. Sullivan. I loved all the hands‐on projects that we did like the Mars rover project and the Great Navel Orange Race. One of my favorite professors is Professor Arielle Gaudiello. She taught the Pre‐Calculus/ Trigonometry class for the Excel/Compass program. Arielle, as she likes to be called, taught in such a way that was easy for me to understand and learn. The GEMS program gives students a reason to go meet other students in their major and to help them start networking with professionals. The program helps guide students even if they don't really need it. It is a good support system. In my spare time I build model air planes in a club called AIAA here at UCF. I also like to play video games and go to Disney.
