Profile

My name is Demi Soulet and I am a sophomore, majoring in Molecular and Microbiology at UCF. I am currently working towards getting a minor in Dance as well. I attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School for two years and graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in 2010. One of my favorite classes at UCF was my Biology 1 class because the professor that teaches it, Professor Thomas, is an awesome professor. She genuinely cares about her students and makes it possible for everyone to excel in her class. I decided to get involved with the GEMS program because I would love to gain a connection with other girls in my major and I feel like I would be able to share my experiences in college so far with my mentees. My favorite hobbies are working out on a daily basis, dance, and traveling with friends and family. Words of advice for the GEMS freshman students: College is a new and sometimes intimidating experience but the GEMS program provides a tremendous support.
