Hello! My name is Adithi Jayaraman and I am currently a sophomore at UCF and a Data Science major and a Statistics minor here at UCF. I graduated from Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida. I joined the EXCEL/COMPASS because while I knew I wanted to pursue S.T.E.M., I wasn’t sure what I wanted my major to be. EXCEL/COMPASS was extremely supportive towards my major exploration and helped me register for my math classes.

So far, my favorite class at UCF was Intro to Communication; its a GEP course, which is open all majors. The reason I loved this class was how informative yet fun the content was. I would definitely recommend this course to any UCF student looking to finish their GEPs. My favorite professor is Professor Vee Kennedy, they were my ENC1102 professor and they were extremely supportive and kind. I thoroughly enjoyed taking their class.

At little something about me: I am a huge mega nerd. I love everything from the MCU to Voltron to Harry Potter. I love going to trivia nights at Foxtail cafe on Wednesday nights. I also love to read, I’ll read anything to nonfiction to YA magic fantasies. For all you incoming freshmen, my advice to you is this: don’t stress about college. This is your first semester at college, congratulate yourselves for your amazing accomplishments. You will find your ideal internship, prefect research opportunity, and dream job. So, take it easy have fun:)
