Kevin D. Belfield is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and College of Optics and Photonics: CREOL and Chair of the Department of Chemistry, and a participating faculty member of the UCF-EXCEL program. Dr. Belfield's research interests are in the area of multifunctional absorbing materials, two-photon photochemistry, magnetic polymeric and sol-gel nanocomposites, site-specific fluorophore labeling, fluorescent-based sensors, new photodynamic therapy agents, nanostructured functional organic and polymeric materials, and two-photon based 3-D micro- and nanofabrication methods. His research is funded by NSF, US Civilian Research & Development Foundation, Research Corporation, Petroleum Research Fund of the ACS, US Army, and industry..
Divya Bhati
Assistant Director of Operational Excellence and Assessment Support (OEAS)


Dr. Divya Bhati is the Assistant Director of Operational Excellence and Assessment Support (OEAS) at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Bhati’s research interests include assessment of student learning outcomes, teaching and learning, survey design and research methodology, application of technology in classroom settings, and research related to human performance. Dr Bhati is actively involved in all assessment efforts for academic programs and administrative units at University of Central Florida.

Elizabeth Costello is the Associate Director for Recruitment for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. She is responsible for the recruitment of all students for the UCF Orlando campus and the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management campus. Ms. Costello's interests lie in the areas of enrollment management and recruitment of targeted populations including first-generation college students.

Valarie Greene King is the director of the Office of Diversity Initiatives and is responsible for offering comprehensive diversity education, training, consultation, and leadership experiences in support of the UCF goal "To become more inclusive and diverse". Dr. King facilitates domestic diversity processes and programs to dismantle barriers and enhance cultural and leadership competencies both on campus and throughout the community. Patrice M. Lancey
Director, Operational Excellence and Assessment Support

Dr. Patrice Lancey is the Director, of the office of Operational Excellence and Assessment Support. She coordinates the university wide Institutional Effectiveness Assessment process and supports assessment of academic programs and administrative units. Dr. Lancey's research interests include assessment of learning outcomes, student engagement, building a data driven assessment culture in an educational institution, survey research methodology, and education and health outcomes research. Dr.Lancey provides assessment design, statistical study design and analysis assistance to all UCF academic programs and administrative units. She regularly works with faculty and staff to develop research methodology and student learning assessment. Ana Maria Schwindt is a Coordinator of the Office of Student Services & Advisement for the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences and advises undergraduate students within the school. Ms. Schwindt co-founded the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences Office of Student Services & Advisement and runs the Excel program for the School. She has a special interest in promoting our pre-professional program to minority students to increase their representation within the school. Samuel Richie is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Assistant Dean and Director of Distance Learning in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Dr. Richie's research interests lie in the areas of Surface acoustic wave (SAW) device modeling, SAW device computer aided design, transversal filter design theory, voice recognition systems. Dr. Richie is heading a team of faculty and graduate students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science for the educational outreach of the Infiniti project to high schools.
Michael Johnson
Professor of Physics

Michael D. Johnson is a Professor of Physics and an Associate Dean in the College of Sciences. His research focuses on theoretical condensed matter physics, particularly electronic properties of nanoscale systems. John Schell
Professor in the English Department

John Schell is a Professor in the English Department at the University of Central Florida, and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. SchellÕs publications include articles on English romantic poetry and business writing; his books include The Short Handbook for Writers (McGraw Hill) and Writing on the Job: A Handbook for Business and Government) (New American Library). He has been a consultant on grant projects, and his own most recent grant award was from the US Department of Education for $880,000 to establish the UCF McNair Scholars Program.

Roseann S. White is the Associate Director for Academic Affairs in the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Medicine and a Professor of Molecular Biology and Microbiology at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Dr. White teaches MCB 3020, General Microbiology. Dr. WhiteÕs fields of research included immunochemical characterization of grass pollen allergens. Research focused on the determination of which proteins of grass pollen are responsible for allergic symptoms and the evaluation of those proteins for similarities and/or differences in structure with other pollen proteins.
